The Mason-Dixon Clay Busters had a standout performance at the 2024 SCTP Nationals Team Championship in Marengo, Ohio. With 19 athletes, they were able to showcase their talent in various disciplines, standing out in trap shooting. The trap squad which included Joey Lee, Ryan Martin, Dylan Zepp, Stella Jordan, and Ricardo Po, achieved the title of SCTP Intermediate Advanced Trap National Champions. Their collective effort was further recognized with a 3rd place Team award in the Intermediate Division, highlighting their significant team achievement.
In addition to the team’s success, individual athletes achieved personal best scores, showing their dedication to skill development. A particularly notable performance was earned by Gracie Burton, with her impressive 5th place in the Lady Junior Varsity Category. These individual accomplishments highlight the depth of talent within the Mason-Dixon Clay Busters and their potential for future success in shooting sports.
Head Coach Steve Beam expressed immense pride in the team, commending their hard work, perseverance, and teamwork. About the Mason-Dixon Clay Busters
Based in South Central Pennsylvania, the Mason-Dixon Clay Busters is a youth shotgun team participating in Clay Target Shooting Sports. Organized under the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and the Amateur Trapshooting Association’s AIM program, the team prioritizes SAFETY. Their goals include teaching the safe handling and use of firearms, fostering a supportive team-based environment that emphasizes positive character traits and citizenship values, and introducing young people to shooting sports for a lifetime of enjoyment.
