2019-2020 WINTER HANDICAP TRAP LEAGUE
Sundays: November 10 and 24 | December 08 and 22 | January 12 and 26 | February 09 and 23
9:30AM – 11:30 AM* with shooter registration beginning at 9:15 AM
Daily event cost is $13.00
The Loch Raven Skeet & Trap Club Winter Handicap TRAP LEAGUE will be held on eight (8) Sundays from November 2019 through February 2020. Everyone is invited — members and non-members, beginners and experienced shooters. Since this is a handicap league, everyone has a good chance to win!
The league format will consist of one (1) round each of Wobble and Trap, both from the 16 yard line. Therefore, each bi-weekly event will consist of 50 targets. For the first event a shooter shoots during the league, their raw score will be used to determine their score. For each event after the first, the shooter will be given a handicap equal to 49 minus the shooter’s prior raw score. The maximum handicap score is 49. Each week, any and all ties will be decided by a shoot-off to determine the winner, runner-up and third place.
LEAGUE AWARDS – There will not be any overall league awards. However, all Trap League participants are invited to attend the Skeet League Awards Lunch.
There will NOT be any makeup days for snow or bad weather;
**In an effort to free up the trap fields for public shooting, we have received permission from the LRSTC management to start our events at 9:30am!
SHOOT-OFFS: Shoot-off from station 3 at the 25 yard distance on a ‘miss and out’ basis.
Daily Event AWARDS: Boxes of 12 or 20 gauge shells; the following prizes will be awarded at each event:
- 1-5 Shooters = 1 box of shells to the winner
- 6-15 Shooters = 2 boxes of shell to winner, 1 box to runner-up
- 16 or more Shooters = 3 boxes of shells to winner, 2 boxes to runner-up and 1 box to 3rd place
GUAGES: Any gauge shotgun may be used. Shooters provide event and shoot-off shells.
